For acetic acid molarity = Normality

Initial millimoles of CH3COOH = 50 × 0.06 = 3

Final millimoles of CH3COOH = 50 × 0.042 = 2.1

Millimoles of CH3COOH adsorbed = 3 – 2.1 = 0.9

Mass of CH3COOH adsorbed =0.91000×60=54×103g = 54 mg

Mass of CH3COOH adsorbed per gram charcoal = 543mg = 18 mg
