A rocket is lauched to travel vertically upward with a constant velocity of 20m/s. After travelling 35s the rocket develops a snag and its fuel supply is cut off. The rocket then travels like a free body, the height achieved by it is :

Constant velocity of rocket = 20 m/s.
So, height achieved by rocket in 35 second
= 20 × 35 = 700m
Now, fuel supply is cut off so now initial
velocity of rocket in upward direction, u = 20 m/s.
and it will travel like a free body and it gain
further distance = h.
v2 = u2 –2gh
0= (20)2 – 2 × 10 × h
h = 20 m
Then total height achieved = 700 + 20 = 720 m.
