K = 0.2 Ω–1 m–1 = 2 × 10–3 Ω–1 cm–1

∧mo= 4 × 10–2 Ω–1 m2mol–1 = 400 Ω–1 cm2 mol–1

∴∧m=1000kM=1000×2×10−30.02=100Ω−1cm2mol−1

∴α=∧m∧mo=100400=14

∴    HA (aq.)        ⇌    H+ (aq.)            + A¯ (aq.)

t = 0  0.02 M                        0                         0

t = teq   0.02 (1−0.024M)  = 0.02 ×14M0.024M

∴[H+] = 0.024M= 0.005 M

∴ pH = – log (5 × 10–3) = 3 – 0.7 = 2.3
