Take off velocity or landing velocity of aircraft = 180 km/h = 50m/s
acceleration = 2.5m/s2
Final velocity = 0
Let required length of runway = s.
From to third equation of motion v2 = u2 – 2as ⇒ 0 = (50)2 – 2 × 2.5 × s
⇒ s = 500 m.
