Let P(x,y) divide the line A(2,5) and B(3,5) in the ratio 2:3.
Using section formula,
(x,y)=(mx2+nx1m+x,my2xy1m+x)
where m=2,n=3,x1=2,y1=5,x2=3,y2=5
P(x,y)=(2×3+3×22+3,2×5+3×52+3)
=(665,10+155)=(0,55)
=(0,1)
The point (0,1) divides the line AB
