Given matrix A=a    bc    d
Then determinant of the matrix, A=|A|=a    bc    d= ad-bc 0
This indicates that there exists inverse of the matrix A.
In order to find the adjoint let's find minor matrix which is given as,

=|d|    |c||b|    |a|=d    cb    a

Co-factors of matrix A=(1)1+1(d)    (1)1+2(c)(1)2+1(b)    (1)2+2(a)=dcba

Transpose of matrix A with co-factors, =CAT=dcbaT=dbca

Then inverse of the matrix A,A1=1|A|adjA

=1adbcdbca
