AB – BA is a skew symmetric matrix.
A and B are symmetric matrices.

∴ AABB

Now, [AB – BA]= (AB)– (BA)'

B'A– A'B⋯⋯⋅ [∵ (AB)B'A']

= BA – AB ⋯⋅ {∵ AA and BB}

= –[AB – BA]

So, [AB – BA] is a skew symmetric matrix.
