Solution

f (x) = cos–1 (2x2 – 1) = cos–1(cos 2θ)

={2θ;    θ∈[0,  π2]   ⇒  x∈[0,  1]2π−2θ;   θ∈(π2,  π]   ⇒  x∈[− 1,  0)

 g(x)=1−x2=1−cos2θ=sinθ

 At  x =35

  d (f(x)) d (g(x)) =2cosθ=2 3/5 =103

 At  x=−35

  d (f(x)) d (g(x)) =−2cosθ=−2−3/5=103.
