P(AUB) = P(A) + P(B) – P(A⋂B)
If P(AUB) = P(A⋂B)
Then P(A) and P(B) are equal
Since P(AUB) = P(A⋂B) ⇒ A and B are equal sets
Thus P(A) and P(B) are equal to P(A⋂B)
