Solution

a – b = 1;          y ≠ 0, a, b, c, y ∈ R

z = x + iy

az+bz+1=ax+aiy+bx+iy+1=((ax+b)+iay)  ((x+1)−iy)(x+1)2+y2

Im (az+bz+1)=ay(x+1)−(ax+b)y(x+1)2+y2=ay−by(x+1)2+y2=y

∴         (x + 1)2 + y2 = 1             (∵ a – b = 1)

⇒         x + 1 = ±1−y2          ⇒         x=−1+1−y2  and   −1−1−y2.
