Solution

p ' (x) = k(x – 1)(x – 3)  =  k(x2 – 4x + 3)

p'(x) = k(x33    4x22  +  3x)+λ

p(1) = 6 

 k(13    2  +  3)+λ=64k3+λ=6

p(3) = 2

  k(9 – 18 + 9) + λ = 2 λ = 2

      4k3=4k=3

         p'(x) = 3(x2 – 4x + 3)  p'(0) = 9
