Given P(A) = 0.4, P(B|A) = 0.5

P(A¯)=1P(A)

= 1 – 0.4

= 0.6

PBA=P(AB)P(A)

0.5=P(AB)(0.4

⇒ P(A⋂B) = 0.2

So, P(A¯B¯)=P(AB)

= 1 – P(A⋂B)

= 1 – 0.2

= 0.8
