P(A) → 0.2

P(B) → 0.3

P(AUB) → probability that either A or B fails

P(AUB) → P(A) + P(B) – P(AB)

we know,

P(AB) → P(A) x P(B)

= 0.2 x 0.3

P(AB) = 0.06 – 1

so,

P(AUB) → 0.2 + 0.3 – 0.06

= 0.5 – 0.06

= 0.44

SO, P(AUB) → 0.44
