We have
height of conical tent = h = 5 m
Slant height l = 13 m
$r = \sqrt{ℓ^{2} - h^{2}} = \sqrt{13^{2} - 5^{2}}$
       = 12 m
   then area of slant surface is = πrl
                   = π 12 × 13
                   = 156π sq m.
