Solution

We have have P(A∪B) = 0.6 and P(A∩B) = 0.3
We know that
P(A) + P(B) = P(A∪B) + (A∩B) = 0.6 + 0.3 = 0.9

∴ P(A′) + P(B′) = 1 − P(B) + 1 − P(A) = 2 − 0.9 = 1.1
