Two events A and B are said to be independent if the occurence of one does not affect the probability of the occurrence of the other.
Thus, if A and B are two independent events, the P(AUB) = P(A)⋅ P(B)
But two events are mutually exclusive events of the occurrence of one vent precludes the occurrence of other event.
