Question
Two trains start at the same time from Hyderabad and Delhi and proceed towards each other at 80 km/hr and 95 km/hr respectively. When the trains meet, it is found that one has travelled 180 km more than the other. Find the distance between Delhi and Hyderabad.

Solution
It travelled 180 km extra distance 180 = (95 – 80) t
t = 12 hr
So, that total distance = (80 × 12) + (95 × 12)
= 2100 km.
