Two of the dog’s leaps cover 4 m.
Three of the fox’s leaps cover 3 m
Each time the dogs runs 4 m.
Then distance = 4m – 3m = 1m
The initial distance between them is 40m, hence the dog will catch up the fox when it covers 4 × 40 = 160 m
