The communication network used in Informal Communication is called Grapevine Network. These are those channels that allow rapid movement of information. These are of the following types:
1. Single-Strand - In a single strand network, each person communicates to the other in sequence.
2. Gossip - In a gossip network, each person communicates with all on a non-selective basis.
3. Probability - In a probability network, the individual communicates randomly with other individuals.
4. Cluster - In a cluster, the individual communicates with only those people whom he trusts. Of these four types of networks, the cluster is the most popular in organizations.
