Solution

If A and B are any two events then the probability of happening of at least one of the events is defined as

P(A⋃B) = P(A) + P(B) – P(AB).

⇒ P(A) + P(B) = P(A⋃B) + P(AB)

⇒ P(A) + P(B) ≥ P(AB)
