Solution

1 mol of CO= 12 + 32 = 44 g

Number of oxygen atoms in 1 molecule of CO= 2

∴ 44 g CO2 contains 2 mol oxygen

88 g CO2 contains =244×88=4 mol oxygen atoms

as, 1 mol = 6.022 × 1023 atoms

4 mol oxygen = 4 × 6.022 × 1023 oxygen atoms

= 24.08 × 1023 oxtgen atoms

Hence, option A is correct.
