Question

The two-gear combination shown in the drawing is being used to lift the load L with a constant upward speed of 2.50 m/s. The rope that is attached to the load is being wound onto a cylinder behind the big gear. The depth of the teeth of gears is negligible compared to the radii. Determine the angular velocity (magnitude) of the smaller gear.
