Zeise’s salt is K[PtCl32−C2H4)].The structure of the Zeise's salt is shown in the figure. This salt was prepared by Danish pharmacist Zeise in 1830.It is one of the compound of transition metals which was prepared earlier.The plane of ethylene molecule and the C = C axis are perpendicular to the expected bond direction of the central atom. Ferrocene This is an orange-yellow compound.It is an organometallic compound with formula Fe(C5H5)2 .The structure of Ferrocene is shown in the given figure.
